Labor Day Unity Picnic starts at noon at the shell
The second annual Labor Day Unity Picnic is set for today at the Waikiki Shell.
The event runs from noon to 6 p.m.
Last year, the picnic for union members, retirees and their families attracted some 8,000 people.
The free event will feature food, games and activities for kids, along with live entertainment.
Those attending the picnic are asked to bring a canned food donation for the Hawaii Foodbank.
Attendees can park at Kapi'olani Community College and catch a free shuttle to the event.
