Firefighters are investigating the cause of a blaze early yesterday at a Hawaiian Cement plant building on Maui that caused about $3 million in damage, Maui firefighters said.
Firefighters arrived at the fire about 4:12 a.m. today and extinguished the fire by 7 a.m. with six units and a fire prevention bureau officer, officials said.
The building is located at 10-400 Mokulele Highway.
The fire burned two 8-by-20 foot containers and a structure that housed a conveyor belt and electrical equipment, firefighters said.
