A Kahaluu woman is being credited with saving her grandchild from drowning this morning.

The child encountered trouble in a swimming pool around 10:50 a.m., said Capt. Robert Main of the Honolulu Fire Department.
The child’s grandmother pulled her from the water and performed CPR and had resuscitated the child by the time emergency crews arrived, Main said.
