UH's Ambree Ako named WAC soccer offensive player of week

Ambree Ako of the University of Hawai‘i has been named Western Athletic Conference soccer offensive player of the week.
Ako, a senior forward from ‘Aiea, scored three goals in matches against Nevada and Utah State last week. She scored two goals in a 3-1 victory over Utah State and the Rainbow Wahine's lone goal in a 2-1 loss to Nevada.
Ako is tied for the team lead with seven goals this season.
San Jose State's Nina Butera was named WAC soccer defensive player of the week.
