Tropical Storm Neki is continuing on a northern path and approaching the French Frigate Shoals and Necker Island, the Central Pacific Hurricane Center said.

A tropical storm warning remains in effect for the Papahanaumokuakea Marine National Monument from Nihoa island to French Frigate Shoals to Maro Reef.
The hurricane center said Neki has maximum sustained winds of 70 mph.
At 11 a.m., the storm was about 385 miles west-northwest of Lihue and about 85 miles southeast of French Frigate Shoals. Neki was moving north-northwest at about 5 mph with maximum sustained winds near 65 mph. A gradual increase in speed is expected on Sunday.
The hurricane center says islands in Papahanaumokuakea will likely see heavy rain and large south swells.
Neki is expected to continue to weaken in the next 48 hours.
The hurricane center says the storm will shift from its northwest track to a northeast path and will diminish further as it passes over cooler water.
