NFL: Napa DA to announce decision on Raiders coach

NAPA, Calif. — The Napa County district attorney says he will announce his decision Thursday on whether to file charges against Oakland Raiders coach Tom Cable for allegedly assaulting one of his assistants.
Gary Lieberstein says his decision should be announced sometime after 5 p.m. EDT.
Cable was accused of attacking Randy Hanson on Aug. 5 during a meeting at the team's training camp hotel in Napa. Hanson went to the hospital to get treated for a broken jaw but did not immediately tell authorities who assaulted him.
Hanson eventually cooperated with police. The police forwarded their investigation to Lieberstein's office earlier this month.
Cable has denied the allegations.
