Pacific Islands Institute has hired C. Haunani Maunu-Hendrix as its vice president of sales. She will be responsible for developing new markets, targeting affinity groups and expanding the existing group client base. She has extensive experience in hotel sales and destination management.
OCEANIT
Derrick Elfalan has been named manager of the civil engineering section at Oceanit, a multi-disciplinary consulting engineering firm. He has 29 years of civil engineering experience.
Joanne Hiramatsu and Jay Stone have been named co-managers of Oceanit's environmental engineering and planning section. Hiramatsu has 28 years of experience in planning. Stone has 16 years of experience in environmental engineering.
CARLSMITH BALL
Carlsmith Ball has appointed Jay Handlin and William Harstad partners in the firm.
Handlin's practice focuses on complex commercial litigation and appeals.
Harstad's practice focuses on commercial litigation and dispute resolution.
COX RADIO
Cox Radio has hired Dave Lancaster as morning show co-host for Krater 96. He will be teaming up with "Sista" Sherry Clifton on the Morning Show.
Also hired was Augie Tulba, better known as Augie T, as morning show co-host for the island music station KCCN FM100. He will be teaming up with Lina Girl on the Morning Show. A 15-year radio veteran, Tulba got his start doing voice impersonations.
REVOLUSUN
RevoluSun, a local provider of residential solar electric and hot water systems, has hired Alan Agena as project developer. He has 10 years of sales and design experience.
ALOHA UNITED WAY
Jerelenn Medeiros has been hired as an administrative assistant for the Community Building department at Aloha United Way. She will be responsible for providing secretarial and clerical services and assisting with day-to-day operations. She has more than 12 years of administrative and customer-service experience.
