Downtown beating leaves woman in critical condition

Police are looking for the person or persons who severely beat a 34-year-old woman in Downtown Honolulu last night.
Patrol officers reported finding the woman with numerous injuries about 8:30 p.m.
The woman told police she had been assaulted but they were unable to find the exact scene or locate any witnesses.
Bryan Cheplic, spokesman for the city Emergency Services Department, said city paramedics were sent at 8:37 p.m. to Aala Park where they treated the woman before taking her to a to a nearby hospital in serious condition.
Police said the woman's condition worsened a while later, and she was listed in critical condition.
Police classified the case as a second-degree assault.
