High surf advisory in effect for all islands
Advertiser Staff
The National Weather Service has issued a high surf advisory for south-facing shores of all islands due to a large swell generated by a strong low-pressure system near New Zealand last week.
Surf is expected to be 6 to 8 feet, with occasional sets up to 10 feet, the service said.
The advisory, which will remain in effect through tomorrow afternoon, urges beachgoers to keep out of the water and stay well away from the shore break.
