Approximately 250 Marines and sailors with the 3rd Battalion, 3rd Marine Regiment out of Käneçohe Bay will return home Sunday after completing a seven-month deployment to Iraq.

“America’s Battalion” will deplane into Hangar 105 at 11:30 a.m., where they will be greeted by family and friends, officials said.
The battalion of about 1,000 Marines and sailors was deployed to Al Asad, Iraq, where they assisted in transitioning security operations to the Iraqi security forces.
