Boxing rivals Mike Tyson and Evander Holyfield are to meet again — and this time Oprah Winfrey will referee.
Harpo Productions announced yesterday the two fighters would appear on tomorrow's live episode of "The Oprah Winfrey Show" from Chicago.
On June 28, 1997, at the MGM Grand in Las Vegas, Tyson was disqualified after biting off part of Holyfield's right ear during their WBA heavyweight title fight.
Winfrey aired an interview with Tyson on Monday during which he discussed the death of his 4-year-old daughter and talked about his family. Harpo Productions says Tyson will take questions from the audience tomorrow.
PERU APPARENTLY NOT ON ROCK STARS' RADAR
Pity the Peruvian rocker.
For the third time in recent years, a visiting foreign pop star has belted out thanks to the wrong country.
In a concert in Peru's capital Tuesday, the lead singer of British band Depeche Mode shouted "Thank you very much, Chile!" to 30,000 screaming fans. Most didn't notice Dave Gahan's slip but a video of the concert was posted on YouTube.
The country choice was particularly rankling since Peru and Chile are historically enemies with a dispute dating to an 1879-84 war. In 2004, Mayte of the Mexican pop band RBD yelled out "Long live Chile!" in a Lima concert. She immediately apologized.
In 2003, Canadian singer Alanis Morissette yelled out "Thank you, Brazil."
WHO WILL BE MARILYN'S ETERNAL NEIGHBOR?
The crypt above Marilyn Monroe at Westwood Village Memorial Park Cemetery in Los Angeles is going back on the auction block.
Bidding for the marble mausoleum crypt will start at $500,000 beginning Oct. 19, according to organizer Eric Gazin of AuctionCause.com. A previous $4.6 million bid for the space fell through in August when Elsie Poncher first attempted to auction off her late husband's crypt.
The new www.eBay.com auction will end Oct. 29 and require a 1 to 5 percent refundable deposit, based on the bid.
Also buried at Westwood are such celebrities as Farrah Fawcett, Natalie Wood, Rodney Dangerfield, Dean Martin, Jack Lemmon, Eva Gabor and Truman Capote.
LAVIGNE, WHIBLEY CALLING IT QUITS
Court records show Avril Lavigne filed for divorce from Sum 41 singer Deryck Jason Whibley on Friday in Los Angeles.
The couple were married in July 2006 and have no children together. Lavigne cited "irreconcilable differences." The 25-year-old punk-pop singer burst to fame with her 2002 debut album "Let's Go."
