More Red Cross volunteers head to American Samoa
An additional 12 Red Cross volunteer nurses and mental health workers, including two from Hawai'i, will deploy to American Samoa on a military transport flight this morning from Coast Guard Air Station Barbers Point.
The other 10 volunteers are from California.
The latest group of volunteers will join other Red Cross volunteers already on the ground conducting outreach to families who lost loved ones in Tuesday's earthquake and tsunami, the Red Cross said.
