AMERICAN JUDICATURE SOCIETY
Ivan Lui-Kwan, attorney with Starn O'Toole Marcus & Fisher, has been elected to the national board of directors of the American Judicature Society. The organization brings a public perspective to justice system issues, and has the mission to secure and promote an independent and qualified judiciary and a fair system of justice.
Lui-Kwan serves as vice chair of the Hawaii state chapter of AJS and has more than 35 years of experience practicing law in the areas of real estate, administrative law and land use and zoning. He served for 16 years on the Disciplinary Board of the Hawai'i Supreme Court.
PANKOW HAWAII
Pankow Hawaii has announced the following staffing updates:
Sarah Deck will be the project engineer on the Actus Hickam Air Force Base Historical Home Renovation Project. Ryan DelaRiva will be the field engineer on the Forest City Kane'ohe Marine Corps Base Heleloa Historic Home Renovation Project.
Keith Parkinson has joined Pankow as a project superintendent and is assigned to the Actus Hickam AFB Historical Home Renovation Project. He has more than 25 years of experience in the construction industry.
NATIONAL ASSOCIATION OF WOMEN IN CONSTRUCTION
The National Association of Women in Construction Honolulu chapter has announced its new officers and board of directors. They are:
President, Leslie Miasnik of Pankow Builders; president elect, Annie Kuhlmann of Miyake Concrete Accessories; vice president, Junie Exzabe of Kyo-Ya Company/Sheraton Waikiki; treasurer, Paula Daligcon of All Islands Equipment & Rental; recording secretary, Wendy Broxson of Beachside Roofing Hawaii; and corresponding secretary, Ilaisipa Buelow of Allied Builders System.
Directors are: Fale Esekia of CC Engineering; Amy Mijo of Honolulu Plumbing Company; Elaine Swisher of Jade Painting; and Carrie Vinano of Watts Constructors.
