MLB: Athletics' Mortensen arrested Saturday night

OAKLAND, Calif. — Athletics right-hander Clay Mortensen was arrested and detained Saturday night for suspicion of driving under the influence of alcohol.
Mortensen, acquired in the July trade that sent Matt Holliday to the St. Louis Cardinals, spent the night in the Santa Clara County jail and was released in time to join the A's for Sunday's season finale against the Los Angeles Angels.
Mortensen (2-4, 7.81 ERA) made his major league debut with the A's in August.
A's officials would not comment pending further details.
