The state Department of Health is posting warning signs around the site of a sewage spill today near The Queen's Medical Center.

The department's Clean Water Branch has been notified of the spill, in which an estimated 1,450 gallons of sewage entered a catch basin at the corner of Beretania and Lauhala streets.
The area was secured and signs will be posted. The basin drains into Honolulu Harbor, which is not a recreational waterway. The public is advised to stay out of the area.
