NFL: Bills place CB McKelvin on IR; activate RB Lynch

ORCHARD PARK, N.Y. — Buffalo Bills starting cornerback Leodis McKelvin was placed on season-ending injured reserve to clear room for the team to add running back Marshawn Lynch to the active roster.
The move was announced by the Bills on Thursday as the team’s roster exemption expired for Lynch, who had completed an NFL-imposed three-game suspension.
McKelvin had been ruled out indefinitely after breaking his leg in the first half of a 27-7 loss to New Orleans on Sunday. The 2008 first-round draft pick becomes the seventh Bills player to be placed on injured reserve this season.
Veteran backup Drayton Florence is set to replace McKelvin on Sunday, when the Bills (1-2) travel to play Miami (0-3).
