Boy, 5, saved from nearly drowning at Ko Olina
Beachgoers helped rescue a 5-year-old boy from near-shore waters yesterday afternoon in an apparent near drowning at the Mariott Ko Olina Beach Club.
Bryan Cheplic, Honolulu Emergency Services Department spokesman, said paramedics treated and stabilized the boy and took him to a local hospital.
The boy was in serious condition following the 2:54 p.m. incident at the Lagoon No. 3.
