Kauaçi was rated “Hawaiçi’s Best Island” in a recent poll of Travel + Leisure magazine readers.

Travel + Leisure surveyed its readers for the World’s Best Awards, asking them to rate the islands of Hawaiçi on the following characteristics: natural attractions, activities and sights, restaurants and food, people, and value. Kauaçi came out on top.
“This award pays tribute to what is truly special about Kauaçi — the beauty of our island, which is matched by the beauty of our people and the aloha we share,” said Kauaçi Mayor Bernard Carvalho Jr.
It marks the fourth time in seven years that Kauaçi has been honored as Hawaiçi’s Best Island by Travel + Leisure, having also earned the title in 2003, 2004 and 2006.
