The Dana Takahara-Dias coaching era at the University of Hawai'i had a successful start as the Rainbow Wahine rallied to defeat UC Riverside, 63-58, this afternoon in Riverside, Calif.

UH (1-0) trailed by five but outscored UC Riverside, 20-10, to end the game.
Dipa Liepkalne led the Rainbow Wahine with 12 points while local products, Shawna Kuehu (Punahou) and Keisha Kanekoa (Honoka'a) added 10 points each for UH.
UH plays at UCLA on Thursday and wraps up its road trip at Cal State Bakersfield on Saturday.
