Board of Water Supply crews have completed road repairs following a water main break and reopened Makakilo Drive at 2:30 a.m. today in time for the morning rush hour.

Water service has been restored to Makakilo shortly before 9 p.m. last night after a water main break cut off service to six homes, a church and a convenience store.

The 8-inch main break was reported just before 4 a.m. at 92-616 Makakilo Dr. It forced the closure of makai-bound lanes on Makakilo Drive between Aoloko and Anipeahi streets, according to BWS spokeswoman Tracy Burgo.
