Boy, 16, reports being stabbed by man at Kalihi park

Police are investigating a report filed on behalf of a 16-year-old boy who told them he was stabbed by a man in his 20s about 11 p.m. last night at a park in Kalihi.
The boy told police he had been drinking beer earlier in the evening and went to use the men’s restroom at the park.
He said he bumped into the older man, who was leaving the restroom as he was entering, and that he exchanged words with the man.
The boy said the man took out a knife and stabbed him before running away.
The injured boy was taken to The Queen’s Medical Center in serious condition, police said.
They classified the case as a first-degree assault.
