If you're looking for a reason to take the family to the beach this weekend, consider hanging out at Kuhio Beach for the 12th Annual T&C Surf/Surfer Magazine Grom Contest.

Amateur surfers ages 5-14 will participate in heats on Saturday, with finals following on Sunday. Also on Sunday, 10 parent/child tandem teams can register onsite for for a free event, so even kids under 5 can be included in the event.

Spectators are welcome and can participate in beach games.
