DETROIT — Nicklas Lidstrom and Pavel Datsyuk were held out of practice by the Detroit Red Wings the day before Game 5 of the Western Conference finals.
Detroit coach Mike Babcock said Tuesday the stars are feeling better. But the team will wait until both get a chance to skate before Wednesday night's game to decide whether they will play against the Chicago Blackhawks.
Babcock said Lidstrom and Datsyuk will play if ready even though Detroit won without them and took a 3-1 lead in the best-of-seven series.
Lidstrom missed Game 4 with an undisclosed injury and Datsyuk has been out the past two games with an injured foot.
