The first annual Hawai'i Wiener Derby will be held today in Thomas Square.
The dachshund races are just part of the Hawaiian Humane Society’s Canine Game Day, 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. in the park.

The family- and dog-friendly event will include pet costume contests, other competitions and an agility course. There will also be food, games and keiki activities. Dog owners can check out product demonstrations and those hoping to adopt a dog can meet some of the Hawaiian Humane Society’s dogs waiting for owners.
