Hawaii’s Allen Hoe, a combat medic in Vietnam whose son was killed in action in Iraq, is being featured today on National Public Radio’s StoryCorps: America’s Oral History.
Ho’s son, Nainoa, an Army 1st lieutenant with the 3rd Battalion, was killed in Mosul on Jan. 22, 2005. He was 27.
