Honolulu Fire Department rescue crews have suspended their search for a pair of hikers missing since yesterday in the areas around the Maçakua Ridge and Hauçula Loop trails.

HFD spokesperson Capt. Robert Main said the men went hiking yesterday around 11 a.m. but have not returned. The men were believed to have a cell phone, but they have been out of contact.
Rescues crews suspended the search due to darkness and worsening weather. Main said the search will resume tomorrow morning.
