Honolulu police have re-opened Kamehameha Highway in both directions in Hauçula following a critical traffic accident near the 7-Eleven Store.

A man in his 50s was taken to a local trauma center following the crash at 54-138 Kamehameha Highway, said Bryan Cheplic, city Emergency Management Services spokesman.
Traffic was being detoured into Rainbow Castle parking lot after the crash, which occurred around noon today.
Police re-opened Kamehameha Highway around 2:45 p.m.
