Grammy Award-winner Alison Brown to play at Salt Lake Library Thursday

Grammy Award-winner Alison Brown, an international banjo virtuoso, and Joe Craven, a multi-instrumentalist and singer, will team up to perform a free concert at the Salt Lake-Moanalua Public Library on Thursday, April 2 at 5:30 p.m.
Brown achieved national recognition performing with Alison Krauss and Union Station from 1989 to 1991. She won a Grammy in 1991 and received bluegras music's highest accolade for an instrumentalist, named International Bluegras Music Association Banjo Player of the Year.
Craven performed with the David Grisman Quintet for more than 15 years as violinist and percussionist. He has recorded and played with many notabl musicians including Grateful Dead guitarist Jerry Garcia, and Bonnie Raitt.
Sponsored by the Friends of the Library of Hawaii, and Friends of the Salt Lake-Moanalua Public Library, this one-hour concert is recommended for all ages. This program is produced by the UH-Manoa Outreach College's Statewide Cultural Extension Program.
