Hawaii farmers may be eligible for energy audit grants
Hawai'i farmers may be eligible for grants to conduct energy audits under the Rural Energy for America Program run by the U.S. Department of Agriculture.
The grants are designed to help agricultural producers and rural small businesses identify ways to improve energy efficiency. The USDA Rural Development office in Hawai'i will host a "webinar" on March 26 at 2 p.m. on the program.
Those interested in participating in the webinar should contact Tim O'Connell at 933-8313 or e-mail him at tim.oconnell@hi.usda.gov. Applications for the grants must be submitted by June 9.
