SOUTH KOHALA
Woman, in parked car on Saddle Road, stabbed

Big Island police say a man attacked a woman sitting in a parked car along the Saddle Road in South Kohala.

Police responding about 8:15 a.m. said the woman was in her car when she was approached by a man who demanded her keys and wallet. When the woman refused, the man allegedly stabbed her in the left arm.

The woman started her car and drove off, while the attacker drove a gray primer-colored Toyota pickup truck toward Hilo, police said.

Police described the attacker as a man in his late 40s, about 5-feet-10 and 220 pounds, bald and wearing a red T-shirt and blue shorts.

The victim was treated by rescue workers and released.
