Panel on economic crisis in the arts on Thursday

Advertiser staff

A live panel discussion on the current economic crisis's impact on the arts will be recorded 7 p.m. Thursday in Hawaii Public Radio's Atherton Studio.

"The Business of the Arts" will be taped for a later broadcast.

The panel was inspired by Honolulu Magazine's "Art in a Storm" and magazine editor Kam Napier will welcome the audience.

Those on the panel include Karen Tiller, Executive Director, Hawaii Opera Theatre; Marilyn Cristofori, President, Hawaii Arts Alliance; Harry Wong, Artistic Director, Kumu Kahu; Selena Ching, Executive Director, Hawaii Youth Symphony; Blair Collis, Vice President and Chief Operating Officer, Bishop Museum; and Tim Bostock, Business Advisor for the Arts at Mark's Garage.

The event is free, but reservations are recommended because seating is limited. To reserve seats, call 955-8821 during business hours.
