Honeybee protection on agenda at daylong forum
A community forum tomorrow at Kalapaki Beach Park will include information on protecting Kaua'i honeybees from invasive mites, a candidate forum for Kaua'i Island Utility Co-op board candidates, and an economic stimulus report from state lawmakers and a swap meet.
The daylong event is hosted by the Kaua'i Beekeeper's Association, which was formed by Kaua'i beekeepers, community members and government officials to fight the spread of the varroa mite to Kaua'i from O'ahu and Hawai'i.
