City to hold memorial tribute for Marshall
The city on Monday will hold a memorial tribute to the late Councilwoman Barbara Marshall, Mayor Mufi Hannemann announced yesterday.
The service will be at 4:45 p.m. in the Mission Memorial Auditorium on the civic center grounds. It will be open to the public. Parking will be available in the civic center parking garage.
Marshall died Feb. 22 following a battle with cancer. She represented Windward O'ahu and had served as council chairwoman.
"We encourage the public to attend this special tribute to an outstanding public servant," Hannemann said in a statement. "I will be joined by many of her colleagues on the council, as we bid aloha to a dear colleague and friend."
