Hawaii Film Partners announced it will begin shooting a feature film Monday at various locations around O'ahu.

Among the stars of "You May Not Kiss The Bride" are Grammy Award winner and actress Tia Carrere, "American Idol" runnerup Katharine McPhee and Vinnie Jones, who counts "X-Men 3: The Last Stand," "Snatch," and "Gone in Sixty Seconds" among his 40-plus movie credits.

The film is said to be a romantic adventure comedy set in Chicago and Tahiti, but it will be shot entirely on location in Hawai'i.

Rob Hedden will direct for his original screenplay. Hawaii Film Partners co-founders Rann and Gina Watumull, David Jackson and Shauna Shapiro Jackson, are the film's producers.

Also scheduled to star in the film are Dave Annable, who stars in the ABC series "Brothers and Sisters," Mena Suvari ("American Pie" movies, "American Beauty"), and Ken Davitian (best known for his role of Azamat Bagatov in "Borat: Cultural Learnings of America for Make Benefit Glorious Nation of Kazakhstan")." Additional casting is underway in Los Angeles and Hawaii.

Carrere plays Lani, an engaging cocktail waitress in Tahiti who serves up a lot more than tropical drinks. Carrere recently won her second Grammy with Daniel Ho for Best Hawaii Album for "Ikena." Among her many film credits are "Wayne's World" and "Wayne's World 2," "True Lies" and the voice of Nani in "Lilo & Stitch."

Hedden previously wrote the original script for the action film "The Condemned" released in 2007 by Lionsgate Films. He also co-wrote the story and screenplay and co-produced Nickelodeon Films' "Clockstoppers."

Annable plays Bryan Lighthouse, a Chicago pet photographer who accidentally maims the cat of a Croatian mobster's wife, and, as an alternative to swimming with the fishes, is forced to marry their daughter Masha to keep her in the country.

Suvari plays Tonya, Bryan's quirky pet photography assistant, and Jones plays Brick, the Croatian mobster's right hand man.

Davitian is Vladko Nikitin, the Croatian mobster who offers a do-or-die proposition on marrying his daughter.

Hawaii Film Partners first project was the acclaimed hit television show for Discovery Kids, "Flight 29 Down," still airing in more than 100 countries.
