Hawaii women lose, 75-57, to Nevada

The University of Hawai'i women's basketball team fell apart in the second half in a 75-57 loss to host Nevada yesterday in the regular-season finale for both teams.
The Rainbow Wahine trailed 33-32 at halftime before the Wolf Pack pulled away.
Nevada improved to 16-13 overall and 10-6 in the Western Athletic Conference. Hawai'i fell to 7-22 and 4-12.
Hawai'i will stay in Reno for the WAC tournament, which starts Tuesday.
The Rainbow Wahine, the No. 8 seed, will face No. 9 seed San Jose State in the play-in game Tuesday at 3 p.m. (Hawai'i time). The winner will play Fresno State the following day.
Megan Tinnin led Hawai'i with 15 points, including 3 of 3 from 3-point range, and eight rebounds yesterday. Breanna Arbuckle added 10 points off the bench.
Cherlanda Franklin scored 15 points to lead Nevada, which held a 43-30 rebounding edge.
