NBA: Blazers F Webster out for rest of regular season

PORTLAND, Ore. — Portland Trail Blazers forward Martell Webster will miss the rest of the regular season because of the stress fracture in his left foot that has kept him sidelined for nearly the entire season.
The Blazers say that X-rays of the injury show improvement. He no longer needs to wear a protective boot and has been cleared to begin low-impact workouts.
Webster was projected to be a starter this season. He fractured the fifth metatarsal in his left foot during the preseason and had surgery. He returned briefly in one game before reinjuring his foot.
