NBA: Heat's Wade gets more stitches in lip

MIAMI — Dwyane Wade's lip was cut worse than first thought.
The Miami Heat's star guard — and newly named Eastern Conference player of the month — got three more stitches in his bottom lip Sunday, the aftereffects of a shot from the elbow of New York's Danilo Gallinari on Saturday night.
Wade got three stitches after Saturday's game, and after the swelling subsided a tiny bit, realized there was another cut there Sunday that also needed medical attention.
"It makes it a little bit more sore than it probably was going to be after a day of rest," Wade said before the Heat hosted the Cleveland Cavaliers on Monday.
The elbow sparked Wade on Saturday; he scored 24 of his 46 points in the fourth quarter as the Heat erased a big deficit to win 120-115.
