Legislative hearing on elder and child abuse set for Monday

State legislators, public officials and community groups will discuss the causes and possible prevention of elder and child abuse at a meeting at the State Capitol on Monday.
The meeting is at 2 p.m. in Room 329. The briefing by the Senate and House Committees on Human Services will discuss concerns raised by recent cases of elder and child abuse in Hawaii, especially Shaken Baby Syndrome.
