Surf building up along south shores today

Surf along Oahu’s south-facing shores is on the way up and is expected to reach 3 to 5 feet by this afternoon, the National Weather Service said.
Surf along west-facing shores is also expected to rise a bit, hitting 2 to 4 feet after lunch today.
Surf along north-facing shores will be 2 feet or less, while surf of 5 to 7 feet is forecast along east-facing shores.
Outlook through Sunday, June 28: A south swell will begin arriving tomorrow and persist all week. It is expected to build to near the 8-foot, high-surf threshold by late Thursday or Friday.
Breezy trade winds have produced short-period surf for the east-facing shores.
