State forest reserve closing on weekdays through July 3
The Kula State Forest Reserve is closed to public access on weekdays through July 3 to accommodate a road project.
A culvert is being replaced to minimize heavy rainfall damage to the dirt access road, and a mile of the road is undergoing asphalt surfacing, according to the state Department of Land and Natural Resources.
The forest remains open to the public on weekends, from 6 p.m. Fridays to 6 a.m. Mondays.
