SAINT-OMER, France — Christian Nilsson has earned his first European Tour title by shooting a bogey-free 2-under 69 to win the Saint-Omer Open by a tournament record six strokes.
The 30-year-old Swede had two birdies on Sunday to add to his four-stroke overnight lead and finish at 13-under 271. Jose-Filipe Lima of Portugal, the 2004 champion, was second after shooting a 68 that included six birdies but three bogeys.
Nilsson had also led after the third round in 2008 only to finish runner-up to Englishman David Nixon.
Javier Colomo of Spain shot the round of the day, a bogey-free 66, to share third with Lorenzo Gagli of Italy, Richard McEvoy of England and Ake Nilsson of Sweden.
