Two-time Olympic beach volleyball gold medalists Misty May-Treanor will be a featured speaker and a participant in today's Healthy Honolulu 5-kilometer fun run/walk around the University of Hawai'i area.

The run starts at 5:30 p.m. and is free for all ages. The course will take participants from the lower campus to Dole Street, to St. Louis Drive, Wai'alae Avenue, back around the lower campus, ending at Les Murakami Stadium. Registration is at 4 p.m. Forms are online at www.honolu luolympicday.com. All participants are asked to wear their own red, white and/or blue shirts.

May-Treanor, whose father was born in Hawai'i, will be the main speaker at the 6:45 p.m. Sunset on the Field event, which also will feature Olympians such as Keala (O'Sullivan) Watson, a silver medalist in diving in the 1968 Olympics in Mexico City. The event will feature lucky number drawings, live entertainment, followed by the Disney movie, "Miracle," the story of the Miracle on Ice 1980 U.S. hockey team that won the gold medal in Lake Placid, N.Y.

May-Treanor and partner Kerri Walsh won gold medals at the 2008 Beijing Games and the 2004 Athens Games. Their Beijing title-match win marked their 108th consecutive victory. May-Treanor competed in the ABC hit-show "Dancing with the Stars" but injured her Achilles tendon, requiring surgery. GOLF

A 63 FOR SHIGEZAWA

Bradley Shigezawa fired a 9-under 63 yesterday to capture the boys 16-18 division for the Hawai'i State Junior Golf Association's 2009 Adams Golf Qualifier at Turtle Bay Resort's Fazio Course.

Shigezawa, a senior-to-be at Punahou School, will represent Hawai'i in the Tour Tournament, Aug. 4-5 at the Michigan State University's Forest Akers Golf Course in East Lansing.

Alex Chiarella won the boys 11-15 with a 69, Cassy Isagawa captured the girls 11-15 with a 69, and Alice Kim took the girls 16-18 with a 74.

Corey Kozuma, playing the boys 15-18, aced the 160-yard par-3 11th hole en route to a 76.

BYUH PAIR HONORED

Brigham Young-Hawai'i women's tennis players Elwen Li and Jenny Chin have been named to the ESPN The Magazine Academic All-District Women's At-Large Second Team for District VIII, which comprises most of the western United States.

The at-large team includes athletes from different sports, including tennis, water polo, ice hockey, riflery, fencing, lacrosse, gymnastics, golf, swimming, bowling, skiing, field hockey and crew.

Li, a sophomore from Chengdu, China, is a biology major with a 3.76 grade- point average.

Chin, a sophomore from Seoul, South Korea, is an exercise and sport science major with a 3.57 GPA.

DE RENNE AN ALL-STAR

Keoni De Renne, a 1997 'Iolani School graduate, was named to the independent Atlantic League all-star game Tuesday in Newark, N.J., the league announced on its Web site.

The second baseman was named as a non-starting position player for the Freedom Division. The other division is called Liberty Division.

Through Wednesday, De Renne was batting .286 and shared the team lead with 22 walks, while carrying a .378 on-base percentage for the York (Pa.) Revolution.
