Get ready for laughter and romance with Kim Sun-ah ("My Lovely Sam Soon") and Cha Seung Won ("Jail Breakers") in the new series "City Hall," a series about small-town public officials starting Wednesday.

Last seen as a sassy weight-challenged pastry chef in "My Lovely Sam-soon," Kim Sun-ah now portrays Shin Mi Rae, a slimmer single woman, who at 36 has few romantic or professional prospects. By contrast, new deputy mayor Joh Guk (Cha Seung-won) is handsome, wealthy, engaged and being groomed for a stellar political future.

But first, he has to judge the bogus Miss Herring beauty pageant Mi-rae has entered hoping the $20,000 purse will help her pay off debts incurred by her wayward ex. When her participation bolts her to sudden notoriety, Mi-rae becomes a huge asset for those hoping to exploit her as a pawn in their political chess match. Tonight at 7:45: Eun-sung is devastated when Hae-ri tells her Eun-woo is missing. Sung-hee leaves Eun-woo in front of an orphanage, telling him Eun-sung would come for him. Eun-sung and Hwan have a unpleasant encounter at the club where she works. Tomorrow at 7:45 p.m.: Eun-sung comes to Hwan's grandma's rescue when she falls down the steps. Unable to leave her alone, Eun-sung takes her home with her.

'DARE TO LOVE'

Episodes 5 and 6

Sunday at 6:45 p.m.: Sul-ran buys Soo-nam a convertible because she thinks he stayed in the jungle for his patients. Soo-nam brings Yanti back to Korea with him. Poong-ran is frustrated with her marriage. Sunday at 7:45 p.m.: Soo-nam finds a place for Yanti to live in. Sul-ran suspects Soo-nam of cheating. Charlie really proposes to Gum-ran. Poong-ran gets disenchanted with her husband.

'PRINCESS JAMYUNG'

Monday at 7:45 p.m.: Cha Chasung and Jamyung start the performance, but they're caught off guard when Lahee remembers them and asks about Puku. Hodong challenges Wang Hol to a swordfight. In the midst of the fight, Hol realizes Jamyung is trying to kill the princess. Tuesday at 7:45 p.m.: Hodong personally cooks for Lahee in an attempt to woo her. Wang Jasil tells Wang Hol to check for a scar on Jamyung's chest. Hol learns Puku is Queen Mo Haso's daughter Jamyung.

'CITY HALL'

Wednesday at 7:45 p.m.: Shin Mi-rae is stuck in an entry-level position at city hall in the small town of Inju. When handsome Joh Guk is appointed deputy mayor, Mi-rae becomes instantly infatuated. Thursday at 7:45 p.m.: Mayor Goh Boo-sil and Councilwoman Min Joo-hwa decide to hold a Miss Herring pageant to raise campaign funds.
