North Shore surf expected to hit 4-7 feet today

Surf along the south-facing shores of Oahu continues to drop and is expected to be 3 to 5 feet today, the National Weather Service said.
Meanwhile, the return of strong trade winds has cause surf to build along east-facing shores to the 4- to 6-foot level.
Elsewhere on Oahu, expect surf of 3 to 5 feet along west-facing shores and 4 to 7 feet along north-facing shores.
Outlook through Wednesday, June 24: Expect small surf to continue along south-facing shores through Monday.
A new, long-period south swell is expected to arrive next Tuesday, with surf heights approaching the high surf advisory threshold along south-facing shores by Wednesday.
Elsewhere, the small northwest swell will peak Friday, then gradually diminish Saturday.
Strengthening trade winds will produce rough and choppy surf along east-facing shores through early next week.
