Surf of 4 to 7 feet expected on south shore today

Advertiser Staff

Surf along Oahu’s south-facing shores has continued to decline, resulting in the lifting of a high surf advisory, the National Weather Service said.

Surf along south-facing shores is expected to be 4 to 7 feet today, the weather service said.
Elsewhere on Oahu, look for surf of 3 to 5 feet along east-facing shores, 2 to 4 feet along west-facing shores and1 to 2 feet along north-facing shores.
Outlook through Tuesday, June 23: The current south and southeast swells will gradually lower through this weekend. Otherwise, the next significant south swell is expected to arrive on Tuesday.
A small northwest swell is forecast to arrive tonight, peak Friday, then slowly diminish Saturday.
Strengthening trade winds will produce rough and choppy surf along east-facing shores this weekend.
