The O'ahu Interscholastic Association officials are looking for anyone interested in onfield officiating for the 2009 season. Those interested should attend a July 6 meeting at 7 p.m. at Kaimuki High's cafeteria. Experienced or novice are welcome as well as those who just want to get involved as timers or chain crew. Training for all levels will be provided. SOFTBALL
Looking for girls fastpitch softball umpires. Minimum age 12 years old, male or female. Training will be provided. Umpire clinic tentatively scheduled for Saturday, June 20, 8 to 10 a.m., at Nimitz field, off Valkenburg Circle near the Navy Marine Golf Course. For those who want to umpire just at the youth level, and also those who aspire to eventually umpire softball in the ILH or OIA high school program or college level.
