UH's Kolten Wong named to freshman All-America first team

The awards keep rolling in for Hawai‘i center fielder Kolten Wong.
The 2008 Kamehameha-Hawai‘i alumnus was named to the Ping! Freshman All-America first team, it was announced today.
Unlike the Louisville Slugger freshman team, Ping! breaksdown its selections by first, second and third teams.
Wong batted .341 with 21 doubles, 11 home runs, 52 RBI and 11 steals. He also was the Western Athletic Conference’s Freshman of the Year.
The only other WAC players named by Ping! were Fresno State outfielder Dusty Robinson (second team) and Nevada oufielder Nick Melino (third team).
