Mike Tyson has married for a third time, two weeks after his 4-year-old daughter died in a treadmill accident.
La Bella Wedding Chapel owner Shawn Absher told The Associated Press yesterday that the former heavyweight boxing champion wed Saturday night in a private ceremony.
Las Vegas marriage records show the 42-year-old Tyson and 32-year-old Lakiha Spicer got a marriage license about 30 minutes before their ceremony.
She is not the mother of Exodus Tyson, who died in May when her head got caught in a cord loop hanging from a treadmill console at her mother's Phoenix home.
GANS DIED OF ACCIDENTAL MED OVERDOSE
Las Vegas entertainer Danny Gans' death was accidental, caused by an overdose of a prescription painkiller, a coroner said yesterday.
County Coroner Mike Murphy said an autopsy, toxicology and microscopic samples show the 52-year-old died of toxic levels of hydromorphone, an opiate used to treat the chronic pain Gans suffered from.
Gans died in bed at home in Henderson May 1 and was found by his wife.
DJ JAZZY JEFF WALKS OUT ON CONCERT
Hip-hop performer DJ Jazzy Jeff stormed off the stage of a weekend performance in Kansas City, saying venue managers did not like the type of music he was playing.
Officials of the Power & Light District say they just wanted the production crew to turn down the music because it was too loud for the sound system.
In Twitter entries, Jazzy Jeff said the staff at the KC Live! pavilion stopped his show after about half an hour Saturday night "for playin' hip hop."
He won a Grammy in 1988 with partner Will "Fresh Prince" Smith for "Parents Just Don't Understand."
LETTERMAN NEARS CONTRACT EXTENSION
David Letterman and CBS are close to a deal that would keep the late-night comic on the "Late Show" through at least the spring of 2012.
That represents a two-year extension of Letterman's current deal, set to expire next year.
CBS also will pay Letterman's production company, Worldwide Pants, a smaller licensing fee than it now gets, as the network cuts costs amid a downturn in TV advertising, according to two executives close to the negotiations.
It's not immediately clear what that would mean for Letterman's paycheck, reported to be in the range of $30 million to $35 million. His salary is set by Worldwide Pants, not by CBS.
