Baseball: New stadium name: TD Ameritrade Park Omaha

OMAHA, Neb. — TD Ameritrade's $20 million interest in local baseball gives it the right to call Omaha's new downtown ballpark by its name: TD Ameritrade Park Omaha.
Officials from the Omaha-based online brokerage, the Metropolitan Entertainment and Convention Authority and other organizations discussed the new name Wednesday at a news conference near the site.
The company's 20-year agreement with the convention authority for the naming rights was valued at about $20 million.
The stadium will host the College World Series beginning in 2011.
The $120 million stadium project is aimed at replacing Rosenblatt Stadium, home to the CWS since 1950 and Omaha Royals since 1969. The Royals are moving to suburban Papillion (puh-PILL-yun).
Planners say it will hold about 24,000 fans.
