Mason Kuo will remain an assistant coach for the University of Hawai‘i men's volleyball team under new head coach Charlie Wade, the school announced today.
Kuo, a former Warrior setter, was a full-time assistant under Mike Wilton for the past two seasons and a volunteer coach the previous two seasons.
Wade was hired last month to replace Wilton, who became an assistant coach for BYU's women's program.
“Mason is a quality guy who is well respected. It was easy for me to recognize the positive contributions that Mason has made to the program’s success,” Wade said in a statement. “I’m looking forward to working with him and having him contribute to our continual success.”
Kuo, a McKinley High alum from 'Ewa Beach, played for the Warriors from 1995 to 1999.
